HERBIE - Hybrid Education and Research Base for Information Exchange

HERBIE was created within the research activities in the ERCIS. It is a networking and knowledge management system that has been developed for the cooperative use in distributed environments. The goal of HERBIE is to provide an online platform as a base for the creation, exchange, description and discussion of documents. An expert database can be used to establish a contact network. The coordination of the collaborative research processes is supported by an event and news management system. More detailed information about HERBIE and its practical use can be found on the HERBIE-Group webpage.

In the European Research Center for Information Systems HERBIE now has been setup as a base for the collaboration in distributed research projects. The use of a common online base will increase the efficiency within the research and coordination processes.

Access to HERBIE is available by an existing WI-account (employee of the Wirtschaftsinformatik institute) or by creating a new account. If you have a WI-account the user data must be approved after the first login.
