Six Russian and four German students have united in an international project seminar called “EDUPASS”, a collaboration that officially started 11 April in the course of the SAP Forum 2013 at Crocus Expo in Moscow (Russia). The two main goals of EDUPASS include an analysis and adaption of the academic situation at Voronezh State University to industry needs and European standards as well as an investigation of promising new business areas for T-Systems CIS in Russia.

On the 19th September Ralf Plattfaut from the ERCIS-Headquarter in Münster gave a talk at the University of Waikato, New Zealand. He presented a study he conducted together with Sara Hofmann, Michael Räckers, Daniel Beverungen, and Björn Niehaves from Münster as well as Thomas Kohlborn from the Queensland University of Technology, Australia. The study deals with factors influencing governmental service channel adoption.

Germany and France have started a research project with the aim of providing greater protection for international letter and parcel traffic. Logistics and legal experts from Münster University (WWU) were entrusted with heading the project entitled InPoSec (Integrated Postal Security). Prof. Han-Gyun Woo from the Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST) in South Korea has arrived at in Münster for a research visit. During a period of three weeks, we plan to initiate a student exchange program between UNIST and WWU in the IS Masters' Program. In addition, we will further boost initiatives for joint research in the subject areas of "Business Process Management" and "B2C Service Innovation".

The department of Industrial Engineering and Business Information systems will host a PhD summer workshop targeted at PhD’s in Business Information Systems. Both fulltime (AIOs) and Parttime or Executive PhD candidates enrolled in IS or similar programs are invited. The program will be aimed at deepening theoretical skills through interactive sessions by senior faculty and professors.

Their paper was titled "Virtual worlds and people with lifelong disability: exploring the relationship with virtual self and others". They wrote the paper together with Judith Molka-Danielsen and Susan Balandin from the Molde University College.

Last week, The ERCIS conducted the Innovation Forum "PropelleR" for business process management (BPM), together with the Higher School of Economics in Moscow. 25 German and 45 Russian researchers and practitioners participated in the event.
