ERCIS | European Research Center for Information Systems

Organisation

The European Research Center for Information Systems has its headquarters in Münster. Ten professors of information systems, practical computer science, quantitative methods, business administration and law do research on interdisciplinary questions. Throughout Europe and meanwhile beyond, 20 associated research institutes for Information Systems are integrated in the ERCIS. The ERCIS employs several hundred scientific assistants doing international as well as interdisciplinary research. Another important support for the research is the Advisory Board, which consists of SAP AG, maxess systemhaus gmbh, CHRIST Juweliere und Uhrmacher seit 1863 GmbH, IQ-optimize Software AG, the federal state North Rhine-Westphalia and the Westphalian Wilhelms-University of Münster. The Advisory Board ensures applicable and practical research by maintaining a permanent exchange and contacts with the industry.

In addition, the ERCIS cooperates with several research partners at the University of Münster. The different perspectives on current questions allow the experience of a unique multidisciplinarity.
