ServPay
ServPay is conducted by the Institute for Business-to-Business Marketing and the Institute for Information Systems. In the project, the willingness to pay for industrial services will be ascertained and business models for a successful implementation of the services will be derived.
In a first step, industrial services and business models will be described and systematized in cooperation with several industry partners. Afterwards, services will be consolidated and enriched by cost drivers identified at service providing companies. The willingness to pay will then be assessed from the customers’ point of view in a broad empirical survey. By comparing and arranging both perspectives, advice for the selection of industrial services and a corresponding business model can be provided.
On an IT level, results will be implemented as a decision support system for small and medium enterprises operating in the manufacturing industry sector.

Based on a lifecycle oriented concept, the decision support system will provide support for the identification of valuable services and the selection of a corresponding business model. In addition to that, adequate pricing shall be provided. Corresponding best-practice business processes will be made available in a configurable reference model that can easily be adapted to special contexts. Hence, companies are supplied with effectively tailored business processes.
