A success for the network: three EU-funded projects

MASTIS, BPM_Online and EQUALIST - 3 projects, 3 topics, various ERCIS partners

Recently, the  ERCIS network has been very successful in applying for EU funding. Three different projects (two ERASMUS+ and one Horizon2020 projects) were granted.

MASTIS, a project about the development of a start-of-the-art IS Master program, will be organized by the University Lyon2 and various ERCIS associated partner institutions are involved and will contribute to this project.

Within the BPM_Online project, 5 projects partner institutions will develop a reference curriculum for an executive BPM online course.

ERCIS Launch Pad in Münster

The 8th ERCIS Launchpad in Münster was again a great success.  The Launchpad is a  contest and a plattform for founder and start-ups with interesting ideas for IT products or services.  Students or other interested participants can present their ideas, prototypes, or ready-to-go products and discuss with other founders, win a prize, and get in contact with investors.

Cybercrime and Cybersecurity

Joint project seminar with the University of Twente

In the context of the ERCIS network, the University of Münster and the University of Twente conduct a joint project seminar about "Cybercrime and Cybersecurity". With 52 involved persons in total, 42 from Twente (38 students and 4 supervisors) and 10 from Münster (7 students and 3 supervisors) this project seminar is unlike a typical project seminar and a great possibility for the students to not only work on a specific problem but also in an international context.

"Citations of Excellence" award for Martin Matzner and Oliver Müller

ERCIS members Martin Matzner (Münster) and Oliver Müller (Liechtenstein) and their co-author Christian Janiesch (Würzburg) have received the prestigious “Emerald Citation of Excellence 2015” award for their paper “Beyond Process Monitoring: A Proof-of-Concept of Event-driven Business Activity Management”. The article has been published 2012 in the Business Process Management Journal (Vol. 18, Iss. 4, pp. 625-643.
