Quantitative Methods for Logistics
ERCIS Headquarters

The Quantitative Methods for Logistics Group at the Department of Information System of the University of Münster is headed by Prof. Dr. Stephan Meisel. The group’s research and teaching activities revolve around simulation and optimization of transportation and energy systems. In particular, the group focuses on sequential decision making in transportation and energy systems that are subject to uncertainty. The current research projects include anticipatory use of renewable energy with energy storage and e-mobility services, dynamic service vehicle routing, and risk-averse protection of logistics networks.
Quantitative Methods for Logistics is ERCIS member since 2013.Research Topics
Optimization in Transportation and Energy Systems; Simulation Optimization; Stochastic Optimization; Approximate Dynamic Programming
