How to participate
The consortium is designed for students who are at least mid-way through their PhD program. You are a PhD Student at one of our ➡️ ERCIS partner institutions? Perfect! Send us your application, get (hopefully) accepted, and join!
What to expect
You will stay in a ➡️ shared room apartment in the beautiful north of the balearic island Mallorca, in ➡️ Pto. Pollensa.
There, we will have our seminar ➡️ in the rooms of the local ➡️ sailing school, usually in the mornings. We usually allocate 90mins for each PhD student, during which they present and discuss their PhD endeavour. Both, our faculty and the other students, will provide you with supportive feedback. You will have a discussant and a notetaker, leaving you to fully concentrate on the discussions.
In the afternoon, we will go sailing. For those who never set food on a boat, we will have instructors teaching you the ropes on very stable dinghys, advanced sailors can show their capabilities on Hobie Cat and planing dinghys.
The evenings are, in general, free, but we try to find as much time as possible to have some joint social activities, and ample time to communicate. All our faculty are very approachable and happy to discuss!
